Artist Statement.

I studied Sculpture at Camberwell College of Art where I met the artists/friends that I have often exhibited with in the six years since.
I was taught by specialists in welding and casting, but, I try and use my lack of real technical skill as a positive aesthetic. I like to think of it as the Blue Peter School of Sculpture, I use readily available materials such as cardboard, masking tape and poster paint.

An unfortunate series of events has led me back to the small Cambridgeshire village I grew up in.
Finding myself at the age of 27 living with my parents in remote rural location without a car or adequate public transport I have begun making work with a decidedly rural setting. I am working on a series of sinister, sexual figures lurking in Woodland.

I am also currently working on a sort of Illustrated children’s book about a young Widow (inspired by the unfortunate events I mentioned earlier).
